Thank you to our major sponsors

As the day for the second Sarau Festival is rapidly approaching it is timely to further acknowledge our major sponsors who continue to support this growing event. We are indebted to them and look forward to their ongoing support.

CRT Horticulture

CRT Co-Operative formed CRT Horticulture fourteen months ago to satisfy shareholder demand from horticultural growers.

Blackcurrants have been a crop with which CRT Horticulture personnel have had a long and close association. The organisation developed the Traceability/Production prediction computer software named CURRANTBASE.

CRT Horticulture has developed an organic and conventional plant protection spray schedule for Blackcurrant growers to supply key domestic and international markets, and is proud to be of assistance to the exciting New Zealand Blackcurrant industry.

Cold Storage Nelson

CSN are one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful, independent, privately owned Cold Storage Logistics providers. We have been servicing the Horticulture, Seafood, Meat and Dairy industry for 30 years and provide complete Cold Chain traceability and integrity from receipting to consignment dispatch and transportation services. Our mission is to lead our industry in providing quality services through best practice operations and innovative solutions.

New Zealand Blackcurrant Cooperative

The Co-operative represents more than 40 growers producing more than 42% of New Zealand’s national crop and are the pioneers of a world renaissance in Blackcurrant production and consumer appreciation. A small group of New Zealand Blackcurrant farmers worked with world renowned nutritional scientist Dr Eddie Shiojima of California to understand the astonishing health potential in Blackcurrants.

The members of the Cooperative are committed to growing the world’s most intensely flavoured, delicious, and most nutritionally powerful Blackcurrants. This New Zealand Co-operative is the largest independent supplier of Blackcurrant processed products in the world.

Ribena

Ribena is New Zealand’s number 1 selling blackcurrant fruit drink made from blackcurrants 100% grown on New Zealand farms, mainly around Nelson. In fact, the area used to grow these blackcurrants covers an area equal to about 595 rugby fields! Once they’re harvested each year, they’re rushed into cool stores until they’re lovingly pulped and processed into about 740,000 litres of concentrate.
