We are excited to announce that the Johnnie Cameron Band will be our main act at Sarau Festival this year replacing the previously advertised Groove Collective.
Johnnie began performing at iconic Nelson venues such as The Sprig & Ferns, Golden Bear Brewery, Woollaston Estate & The Playhouse during his final year of high school. During his time at University he held down the residency at Dunedin’s busiest bar, the infamous Captain Cook Tavern. These gigs soon lead to numerous enquiries regarding private functions and from these enquiries the idea was born to form a band comprised of Nelson’s best session musicians. They sound amazing. Just imagine the evening Moutere air, sun going down and a nice glass of local wine or a craft beer, Pete’s lemonade, Ribena or whatever. It will be fabulous.
